Mr Thyer offers specialist management of prostate cancer.
Mr Thyer has a special interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for prostate and kidney cancer but also performs surgery for many other urological conditions.
Mr Thyer obtained his undergraduate qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce from The University of Western Australia and then in Medicine from the University of Sydney. He then undertook advanced urological training in Western Australia and Victoria. In 2013 he was awarded the Keith Kirkland Travelling Fellowship in Urology. He was awarded his fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. In that year he underwent further observational training in the treatment of testicular cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York.
Isaac is involved in regular teaching activities for trainees in urology and other surgical specialties.
Mr Isaac Thyer has current appointments and regular operating lists at Bethesda Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, St John of God Hospital, Geraldton and Geraldton Regional Hospital.
His other interests include water sports, middle and long distance running and raising his three children.

Francesca Rogers is a clinical urology nurse and prostate cancer specialist nurse, she is the current president of the Society of Urological Nurses Western Australia and holds a position on the Australia and New Zealand Urological Nurses Society. Francesca completed a urology, prostate cancer and men’s health nursing fellowship at The Australian Prostate Centre in Melbourne and has completed post graduate studies in prostate cancer, continence, sexual function for cancer patients and exercise for men with prostate cancer.
